Boston

On a whim, a couple weekends ago (October 17th and 18th) we decided to visit Boston to see the colors and before it got too cold. I couldn't get a good picture from the car, but the leaves were amazing!
We stopped in Connecticut and briefly visited Yale.
After we stayed the night in a Residence Inn somewhere in SW Massachusetts, we woke up and drove into downtown Boston. The architecture was amazing!
Then we stopped for a few hours in Cambridge and walked through the Harvard Business School and got to watch part of the Head of Charles Regatta on the river nearby. Pretty cool. The boys had fun running around campus looking at all the cool buildings. Owen really wanted to go in and check out the classrooms.

One of the things that we really love about the east is all the fun architecture. We have big plans for our custom home that we want (when we grow up).

The boys got a kick out of watching all the boats go by.

In the afternoon we decided the best way to see the town was on a duck boat tour! Our tour guide was "Captain Duck Tape". He drove us all around town and showed us the sights, then took us out onto the Charles River, which the boys really loved. He told some jokes and even let the boys each take a turn driving.

Owen was the first and most timid about taking the wheel.
Corbin loved it and was giggling most of the time.
Jaren was so excited and was the youngest driver (8 months) Captain Duck Tape had ever had. He navigated with confidence. We were so proud.
Here are some of the sights: Boston Common, a section of the Berlin Wall, and some old buildings we can't remember the names of - but they're beautiful.

This is a section of the Berlin Wall.

On the way out of town we stopped at Louie Lee's house for dinner (Nick and Louie studied at Thunderbird together). He made us a wonderful meal, and we had a great time catching up.
The boys had a great time. They even dressed up in Louie's hat and gloves.
It was a great couple of days.
The boys were out on the way home, Nick and I wished we could have been too!

Maddy,
That is so cool! I'm a little jealous, I've never been to Boston, and I wanted to go to a conference there in September.
Seeing all of your neat pictures from the East coast (and our sweltering 85 degree Halloween) reminds me that living in the East is a trade-off.
We have our family, and you have lots of adventures :)
Glad to see you're living it up!

Looks like so much fun. Did you guys see the Red Sox stadium? When do you head to Puerto Rico?
