Grandma Visit (part 2)

The second day of my Mom was here just the adults went to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. It was so wonderful, we did the audio tours and got to go into the Statues pedestal
(so worth it).

Ellis Island was especially meaningful to us. My great, great grandma came through here and was detained for 2 weeks on her way to America. Her name is Johanna Adelaar, she is the 11th one down.
It was fun looking her name up and finding it on the wall. It made our whole tour more real thinking that one of our ancestors actually experienced it!
The statue great! It was fun to have a different view and learn more of the events surrounding how it came to be.

Thanks Bronwyn for watching my boys! You are the best!
Day three still to come. . .

Maddy that looks like so much fun!!! I can't believe the adventures you guys are having - love it!

And I have to say I love the About Me part of your blog - that you work overtime with the three boys. I totally laughed. Three is so much fun, and busier than I ever imagined it could be! :) I just know you are as organized as ever.

So yeah, we're still alive! Remodeling with three munchkins wielding tools has been VERY exciting, to say the least! I'll be posting pics of that soon...

Love all the pics of your fun boys - they are adorable and I can't believe how big Owie Wiward is! I'm sure he says his name like such a big boy now, but I loved the way he used to say it! :)

You are so good at updating your blog! I love that you got to see Lady Liberty the way everyone should before they die! Hope day three with your mom is just as fun!

How fun to get to go to these places with your mom! Could you believe how big the Statue of Liberty actually is? I know I was shocked when I got up next to it!

We really did have an amazing time, didn't we. The pictures bring it all back. There should be a way to copy all of this and save myself the time of scrapbooking it. You have done such a good job putting it all together. Thanks!
