Owen turns 8 this year!
To get the boys excited and let them see what it is like all the turning 8 kids were invited to the Blue and Gold Banquet.
I have been told many times that I am destine to become a den mother because of all the boys we have. I am sure I will take my turn sooner rather than later.
Here are Owen's thoughts about Scouting: He is very excited and can't wait to turn 8. He also wanted me to record the whole thing, but settled for me taking a few pictures. And lastly, he enjoyed hanging out with friends and can't wait to earn his own awards.

Earlier that day the boys had birthday parties. Owen went with Nick to pick Corbin up and got to join in the fun. He was disappointed that his face painting job didn't turn out as he planned. He was going for Darth Vader. His mood changed when I suggested that he looked like Steve (the monkey from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs).
Anyways, this picture cracks me up!
Corbin's Creations: Corbin love designing things and doing crafts. He alway finds the camera and takes a picture of his work before he has to put it away. We always get a few surprises when we upload the pictures off our camera!

Scouts are super fun. I was a den leader when Aly was about 6months old. As long as you are immature like me and think burping and farting is funny you will be just fine!
Wow, an 8 yr old, huh??? Too fun!! I can't wait to get my kids into scouting. I grew up with my dad loving that stuff!!
i'm not sure who's more excited, me or mike! scouting is so cool! i remember my brothers always telling crazy stories about scout camp and stuff. let's face it, i was always jealous of the cool trips they took! i hope our boys love it too!
