Hopkins Family Reunion

In June, we had our Hopkins Family Reunion. This year it was my parents turn to be in charge so they had it a little closer to home, Flagstaff, AZ! We were so grateful that the Utah and Idaho family made the trip. Our of all 48 relatives only 3 people couldn't make it!
Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins
Maryann and me
Hanging out the first night. It was super windy. My mom isn't just holding a pile of blankets, Kate is in there somewhere.
Kelli, Grandma, Mom, and Kate
The first day of fun was riding the snowbowl chair lift.
Nick's sister lives in Flagstaff and was sweet enough to watch Kate for the day. Jaren was really nervous, but did just fine. The boys loved it!
Love the sign!
There was a fire going in the distance. Pretty crazy!
The sun was so bright! I was sure we were all going to get fried (I was right!). So I stole Nick's hat and used my shirt to keep Jaren protected.
I have always wanted this picture. Four generations of women!
Every reunion we have an ancestor spotlight. This year we got a sneak peak at our Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa. A book told from the perspective of three sisters about their journey to America from Holland. They came trough Ellis Island.
Night time entertainment!
Grand Canyon. . .
On the way to see the Grand Canyon we had lunch and watched the IMAX. Most of us really enjoyed it. Kate did well till the very end. Jaren, on the other hand, freaked out every time there was a water scene. (This was his first time in a movie theater.)
My sweet cousin Trevor and Me.
The whole family. Corbin and Owen thought we were going to go to the bottom of the GC and hike around. They were slightly disappointed~
It was a wonderful reunion! It was great to see all the family again. The only down side is that was lost our camera with reunion and Kate's blessing pictures (thank you Dad for getting a new camera for your birthday and being camera happy!).

On the way out of town we hung out with Gary, Angela, and Dillon (Nick's little sister). We had such a good time that we ended up staying too late and they offered to let us stay the night. They were sweet enough to give Jaren, Kate, Nick, and I the master bedroom. With Owen and Corbin on their front room couches. While they slept on Dillon's bedroom floor. They must love us!

Sad, you lost your camera. But this looks like tons of fun--I also liked the comments from your kids on the side--Corbin's spit and Owen not wanting to work. You are a great mom for him to want your job! I'm still so happy for you that you got a cute little girl!
