NYC and Fathers day!

This Saturday we took a quick trip into New York City. The supersized Toys R Us near Times Square had a ferris wheel inside that the boys and I got to ride on, which was pretty exciting. They don't let you pick the car you get on, so we felt pretty lucky to get the Toy Story one. The little boy ahead of us had to ride in the Barbie one!
We walked along Broadway and then went to John's Pizza, a place that Nick and I had eaten at the last time we were in NYC May 2006.
Just as we were getting in the car to find the Manhattan Temple and head home it started raining. Just after we found the temple it started pouring! I took this shot in the car between the windshield wipers.
Happy Fathers Day! The boys got Nick a soccer ball and a put together car! They even tried to be super quiet so Dad could sleep in!
The only way we could get the boys to hold still for the first picture is to do a silly one after. (Just so you know Corbin is holding the ball in front of his own face, it just worked out to look like Owen was kicking the ball into him!!)
Working to put the car (they call it the time machine) together. Owen was very disappointed that one of his Lego men didn't fit into the drivers seat.
Jaren made Nick's day when he gave Daddy his first real kiss with a bonus of lots of drool! Nick was holding him and talking when Jaren dove in and attacked!

I love NYC! It makes me homesick just looking at the pics. You will definetly have to get to the Manhattan Temple soon. It is an awesome Temple. Oh by the way, One of my really close friends that I taught while out there works at J&J-Connie Bigica-does Nick know her by any chance?

Hey, that is a great shot between the windshield wipers of the car. That picture that looks like Owen is kicking the ball is hilarious! You couldn't have planned that one. So, how long did Nick get to sleep in?

Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk. I got your info from the church website, so I will give you a call soon. We definitely should get together. You live really close to us. Only 15 minutes away. Can't wait to see you.
